MULTIPLEX Here is a new promotional video for the Tallassee Parks &
Recreation multiplex proposal:
FROM THE MAYOR As
my administration starts its ninth month of the quadrennium, I
am very proud of the accomplishments we have made so far. The
City Council is a working council. The committees have worked diligently
in their quest to make Tallassee a better place to live, work and
raise families. The urban revitalization efforts are the
most noticeable as beautification of properties and abatement of
condemned properties that are deemed public nuisances. read

BEAUTIFY TALLASSEE NOW! The greater Tallassee Area Chamber of
Commerce’s Beautification Committee has been working since
Spring to help support efforts of the city and initiate projects
to help beautify the City of Tallassee. The Beautify Tallassee NOW!
weekend in May was a huge success with several tons of trash being
brought in. Workshops were also held for people to learn gardening
ideas. Several local businesses also partnered with the Chamber to
offer discounts on plants for that weekend. Current projects for
the Beautification Committee include beautification of the downtown
area by planting flowers in pots and cleaning up the downtown area.
The Committee also hopes to begin work soon on beautifying the entryways
into Tallassee. Recognition of local “Yards of the Month” also
continues with the most recent award going to the Weldon Family on
Eubanks Drive. We appreciate all of the community support as we have
worked to Beautify Tallassee NOW! For any ideas or suggestions or
if you would like to become a volunteer, please call the Chamber
office at 283-5151. -Laura Leigh Peters, Chairperson
